  • Quantitative analysis: UAE elections 2011

    The National Election Committee of the UAE announced the electoral college lists for the year 2011, with a total of around 129 thousand members—an increase about 19 times greater than for the 2006 election. In this important expansion of the size of the electorate for the 2011 election of half of the members of the Federal National Council the UAE emphasized its progress in enhancing political participation. This report provides a quantitative snapshot of the electoral body.
